YASOO Health, established in 1998, is a health company with headquarters in the United States and with international operations directed from its wholly-owned subsidiary in Cyprus. In July 2002, YASOO received $4.6 million in venture capital financing. YASOO seeks to develop proprietary, disease-specific products that will aid in the effective management of chronic diseases.

 

 

Business Model

 YASOO's business model includes both a traditional nutritional supplement line and a proprietary, disease specific product line.

 The traditional nutritional supplement line includes premium vitamin E products, an antioxidant formulation, and an omega-3 product.  In addition, YASOO has introduced a skin care line with Callisto Creme and Callisto Oil. These products are specially formulated on the basis of the latest science and clinical research to promote wellness and prevent disease. This product line formed the initial foundation of YASOO and will continue to provide significant operating revenue, especially as new products are being developed.

 

YASOO’s disease-specific products focus on diseases causing oxidative stress due to malabsorption of lipophilic compounds. YASOO developed proprietary technologies that will overcome malabsorption and supply safe and effective formulations in highly bioavailable form. Significant malabsorption occurs in cystic fibrosis, cholestasis, Crohn's and ulcerative colitis (IBD), alcoholic hepatitis and AIDS. In addition, malabsorption may occur in the elderly, in other serious disease conditions and with certain drug therapies. These proprietary products may include novel compounds and pharmaceuticals in addition to key nutrients, antioxidants and natural anti-inflammatory compounds.
